Westwood  Forum on the New Library Project: A Panel Presentation
Sponsored by the Westwood/Walpole League

From 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
First Parish Hall, Westwood
Corner of Nahatan and Clapboardtree Streets
 
Panel to include in alphabetic order:
  • Daniel Lehan, Library Trustee 
  • John Sayre-Scibona, Owners Project Manager
  • Philip Shapiro, Chairman of the Westwood Board of Selectmen
  • Thomas Viti, Director of the Westwood Public Library
There will be a question and answer period after all panel members have presented. Questions will be accepted in writing and from the floor.

Other important dates have been set for the proposed new library project.  Please keep these meetings in mind if you would like to participate in the town decision concerning the library.


The Finance Commission will hold public meetings on the library question. Watch the papers for dates/times/places.


On Monday, February 8, 2010 Finegold Alexander + Associates Inc, the architectural firm for the project, will present the current plans before the Finance Commission. This is an important meeting for public input. Watch the papers for correct time.

The Westwood-Walpole League of Women Voters will host a town-wide presentation on the new library project at the First Parish Meeting Hall on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM.


The Board of Library Trustees will host a presentation on the new main library on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Main Library on High Street.  Finegold Alexander + Associates Inc, the architectural firm for the project, will present the current plans.


A Special Town Meeting to consider the new main library will take place on Monday, March 8, 2010.


If successful, the library question would appear on the ballot at the town-wide election on Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
